Happy Holiday Cheer, To Those Near And Dear
The Holiday 2012 Trunk Show @ Soho Grand was a most festive and merry occasion.  The La Bella glovette and the ever elegant Esmeralda arm cuff sold particularly well for the evening. The event, dripping with decadence, dazzled New York City locals as well as first time shoppers from Cannes, South France. Customers sashayed in with swagger and left in splendor. December 16th, 2011BREAKING: ACTRESS Spotted with… Victoire-ian Cuffs?
December 11th, 2011Well here’s a darling little surprise: ‘WEEDS’ Actress Mary Louise Parker loves Victoire Focx cuffs! The actress was spotted wearing them on set of the latest CONTENTMODE magazine editorial spread. As you can see below, the lovely lady Mary Louise Parker cleverly wore the cuff on her arm instead of her wrist. Let’s tip our leather turbans to the beautiful and stylish M.L.P. But lest we forget her amazing stylist Deborah Ferguson, whose acute eye and avocation for aesthetics inspired this visibly unique way of wearing Victoire Focx leather accessories.

The Glorious Conformity?
July 4th, 2011Recently I conceptualized, styled and art directed a photo seance, titled “The Glorious Conformity?”, which serves as both a fashion and social commentary regarding transformation as it relates to social and aesthetic conformity in our present day world. In this all female shoot, I’ve created a new world order where there are only two beauty variations of women, and the one unique woman remaining in this new global society is undergoing her “transformation” to look the same as everyone else. After she has her transformation, her eye contact with the viewer and body language mirrors the doubts that she has with her transformation/ aesthetic conformity. The piece highlights the fact that we are in an age where women worldwide–in impoverished countries and first world countries– are undergoing cosmetic procedures to adopt themselves to a specific aesthetic standard, regardless of unique differences in racial and ethnic makeup. Narrow noses, plumped lips, lifted eyes, silicon inflated breasts, derrieres and cheeks are all the supposed necessary ingredients to make a “beautiful” woman. With the same ingredients, however, all if not most women undergoing this surgery begin to look the same. While I personally do believe that women rule the world on a subconscious level, however, I find that this power is often masochistically weakened, trivialized, and painfully relinquished back into the hands of men when we indulge ourselves in narcissism.
Until next time!
