Hipster Nuovo

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

My, did May fly by! But not without its perks.

Recently I stumbled across an article entitled “Hipster Nuovo” or New Hipster Style. This spread featured some of the most interesting, but simplistic fashion statements and eccentricities like this cutie above! Check out her high waisted shorts, basic teal belt and oh yeah… Victoire Focx “Gift” Bag! This ‘Hipster Chick’ was featured amongst the pages of one of the trendiest magazines available overseas– D La Repubblica. What’s down with the ‘D’?  Oh nothing major, it’s only one of Milan’s biggest and best selling zines. The Victoire Focx brand is making waves, and quite literally, traveling seas. Maybe we’ll go as far as Japan

No promise though… ;-)

…The clock is ticking…

Ever wonder what a day in the life of a downtown ‘Bag Girl’ entails? Lucky for us Brooklyn-based photographer Mike Mabes was there to capture on camera what I couldn’t in words! Here’s a photo synopsis of my custom Victoire Focx pieces from concept to conception.

Happy May Friends and Family!

Apologies for my long absence, however, it’s with great glee and diaphanous delight I share the latest and greatest in Victoire Focx news…
March and April were extraordinary months Victoire Focx accessories were featured in a trunk show alongside one-of-a-kind pieces by Mallorcan painter, and jewelry designer, Antonia Maxwell.  Like the Victoire Focx brand, Maxwell produces custom pieces inspired by ornate and antiquated beauty. Also akin to the V.F. dynasty, she specializes leather– particularly necklaces crafted with semi precious stones and sea shells recovered from the depths of the Indian ocean. Antonia Maxwell is one of few designers to be featured in the Reubens Museum. It was both inspiring and delightful working with her during her time in NYC.

And as always, I offer the privilege to vicariously re-live this amazing experience!
